When Riverhead Building Supply needed a delivery truck that could navigate the densely populated streets of Rhode Island and handle oversized product, they turned to Victory Truck Body. Working closely with Gabrielli Truck Leasing, we designed and built a run of swap body truck bodies that blend durability, efficiency, and smart design for their delivery routes.
Built for High Performance
These van bodies sit on a low-profile chassis to clear bridges, wires, and tree limbs on tight New England streets. At 96 inches wide and 103 inches high, they’re slightly shorter than a standard box truck, making it the right fit for routes where a little extra height clearance matters.
The composite side panels provide a smooth surface for Riverhead’s full-body wrap, ensuring the truck looks sharp mile after mile. Stainless steel and polished aluminum components add corrosion resistance and a clean, professional finish.
Our standard cast aluminum corner caps and optional limb deflectors protect the front and roof of the truck body from impacts with low-hanging tree branches.
At the back of the truck, our standard stainless-steel rear frame continues all the way down into the body’s rear sill and the floor cap.

Rear Access That Works with the Product
Riverhead’s typical cargo of windows, doors, and millwork often runs taller than standard freight. A rear curtain door gives them the full height of the opening for easier loading, while still securing the cargo in transit. The curtain slides open on a track and ties off quickly with reinforced grommets, speeding up both loading and unloading.
To get heavy product to the ground at job sites without docks, the trucks are also equipped with a large aluminum platform liftgate from Anthony.

Reinforced for Real-World Use
Inside, we’ve protected the front wall with a galvannealed steel plate tied into galvannealed scuff, guarding against damage from carts and tall product. Taller galvannealed scuff panels along the sidewalls add extra impact resistance, while F-track and load bars give crews flexible cargo control options.
Why Go Swap Body?
Before investing in the swap body system, Riverhead’s trucks would return to the yard empty, and crews would work overtime to reload for the next day. Now, they simply drop an empty body, hook up to a preloaded one, and are ready for the next morning’s deliveries in minutes.
That means less downtime, fewer bottlenecks, and faster turnaround which are key advantages for any high-volume delivery operation.

More Than One Way to Build It
This demountable body is just one of the many custom builds we offer. The same design can be fixed-mounted to a chassis or built as a curtainside or flatbed for whatever fits your operation best.
If you’re looking to spec a truck body that works as hard as your crew does, Victory Truck Body is ready to help.
