For this spotlight, we’re proud to feature Terik Hunter, Assistant Production Manager for our MyGlassTruck division. Over the past 15 years, Terik has grown from a new graduate looking for his first opportunity into a key leader on our production team. His dedication to quality, passion for building exceptional truck bodies, and commitment to helping his team succeed make him an important part of the Victory family.

Just to start out: What’s your name and what do you do here at Victory?

Terik: My name is Terik Hunter, and I’m the Assistant Production Manager for our MyGlassTruck division.

How did you get your start here at Victory?

Terik: Back in 2011, I had just graduated from Pennco Tech and started my job hunt. I saw an ad on Craigslist for a production job here, and I decided to apply. I wasn’t having luck anywhere else, so I thought my best chance was to reach out directly to Rustin. Luckily I did, because he hired me right then and there. Happy to say I’ve been here 15 years now.

Is there a project or product you’ve worked on that stands out as a favorite?

Terik: Definitely Curtainside truck bodies.  I love working on 25-foot Curtainsiders; they look amazing and they’re always a hit with customers. When you love what you’re working on, you do great work, and they’re always something I’m proud to attach my name to.

What does “Victory” mean to you?

Terik: “Victory” means a lot to me. The word itself means teamwork, family, togetherness; when you have all that, you definitely have Victory.

In terms of how it relates to the company, Victory is way more to me than just a place to work. Like I said earlier, after I came out of Pennco Tech, Victory was the only place that gave me a chance as a new grad. I’m so glad they did, because I got a lot accomplished working here. I learned a lot and gained new responsibilities over the years. That’s a victory in itself.

Alright, it’s time for your elevator pitch. Why should companies choose Victory over anyone else?

Terik: We're a close-knit team that genuinely cares about what we build. Every truck body and every glass rack is built with love, attention to detail, and a lot of hard work. We stand behind everything that leaves our shop because we know the people building it care about getting it right. MyGlassTruck is called America's Glass Rack Leader because we put quality first, and I believe that's what sets us apart. When you choose Victory, you're choosing people who take pride in building the best products in America.

When you’re off the clock, what do you like to do?

Terik: I love riding my dirt bikes and my motorcycle, but mainly I like to go fishing. There’s a lake pretty much right outside my house, so I’m out there all the time. My favorite fish to reel in are Largemouth Bass.

Do you have a personal motto or quote that guides you?

Terik: “If you’re going to do something, do it right.”

This is pretty self-explanatory, but it's something I've tried to live by throughout my career. Whether I'm building a truck body or helping train a new team member, every job deserves my full effort. If we all take pride in doing things the right way the first time, we get a product we're all proud to put the Victory name on.

Just for fun, what’s your favorite food, and what’s the story behind it?

Terik: I love a good porterhouse steak. I think I like it so much because of the entire experience - I go to the butcher shop and pick the steak myself, and then grill it just how I like it.
