Yarelis brings heart, skill, and a “do the right thing” mindset to everything she does, making her an essential part of the Victory family.

Let’s start with the basics: What’s your name and what do you do here at Victory?

My name is Yarelis Rodriguez, and I’m the Senior Accountant here at Victory.

How did you get your start at Victory?

My journey to Victory was kind of a happy accident. I was working in Philadelphia, and I had just moved to Vineland, and was looking for a job closer to home. While applying online, a little window popped up asking if I’d like to apply at Victory. I clicked yes, and somehow my resume was submitted. I got a phone call, and I was hired right away. That was ten years ago, and I’ve been here ever since!

Is there a project or product you’ve worked on that stands out as a favorite?

Since I work in accounting, I’m not out in the shop, but I love that we’re always evolving. Over the years, I’ve worked in three different systems, and I’m constantly learning something new. That’s probably my favorite part. We’re never stuck using outdated tools. We’re always looking for better ways to get the job done faster and more efficiently.

What does “Victory” mean to you?

Victory feels like home to me. It’s second nature to be here. I get along with everyone, and it just feels good. I’m genuinely happy to be here.

Alright, it’s time for your elevator pitch. Why should companies choose Victory over anyone else?

I’d definitely lean into our core values. We always do the right thing. We offer great quality products, and if a customer isn’t happy, we do what it takes to make it right.

When you’re off the clock, what do you like to do?

At home, I enjoy cooking for my family. I’m very much a homemaker and I like taking care of things at home. I like to read a lot too, and I read all kinds of books, but lately I’ve been into thrillers and fantasy. I guess you could say I’m in my fantasy era right now!

Do you have a personal motto or quote that guides you?

‍Yes. “Do the right thing always.” It’s something I try to instill in my children. Even when no one’s looking, it’s important to do what’s right.

Just for fun, what’s your favorite food, and what’s the story behind it?

I’m a big foodie, so it’s hard to pick just one, but I’d have to say Mexican food is my favorite. It’s so full of flavor, and I love spicy food, spicy is top for me!
