When Victory Truck Body builds a truck body, we know every customer has different needs. Some businesses need a standard dry freight body ready to hit the road quickly. Others require specialized features that help protect cargo, improve organization, and stand up to demanding daily use.
That was the case with this custom van body built for Kenworth of Southern MA.
Starting with the foundation of our durable dry freight van body, we worked to create a truck body tailored specifically for the customer’s operation. The final build combines rugged construction with practical cargo-management features designed to make loading, transporting, and unloading easier and more efficient.
Built on the Victory Van Body Platform
This custom build started with Victory’s dry freight van body platform.
Victory van bodies feature composite panel construction, corrosion-resistant components, and customizable configurations. From flooring and cargo control systems, to liftgates and access options, every truck body can be tailored to fit a specific application.
For this project, the customer needed a truck body capable of handling demanding cargo while protecting the interior from wear and tear over years of service.
Wood-Lined Interior Walls
One of the standout features of this build is the wood-lined interior walls.
The wood liner adds another layer of durability inside the van body, helping protect the walls from shifting cargo, pallets, carts, and equipment during loading and unloading. For operations that see constant movement inside the body, wall protection can go a long way toward extending the life of the truck body and keeping it looking professional.

Recessed E-Track Cargo Control System
To improve cargo securement and flexibility, recessed E-track was integrated directly into the wood-lined walls.
This setup allows operators to quickly secure different types of cargo using straps, load bars, and tie-down accessories without sacrificing usable interior space. By recessing the E-track into the wall structure, we’ve reduced the risk of equipment snagging during loading operations.

Heavy-Duty Scuff Protection
Because this customer’s operation involves heavier-duty use and frequent loading activity, additional interior protection was an important part of the build.
To help the body stand up to the demands of daily deliveries, upgraded scuff protection was added along the lower wall areas where the most wear typically occurs. These reinforced sections help protect the interior from impacts caused by pallets, carts, forklifts, and shifting cargo during loading and unloading.
For fleets that put their equipment through tough working conditions, enhanced scuff protection can help reduce long-term interior damage and keep the truck body performing and looking better over time.

Maxon Liftgate
To complete the build, we equipped this truck body with a Maxon liftgate.
Liftgates make it easier and safer to load and unload heavy cargo, especially at locations without loading docks. They significantly reduce strain on operators and speed up deliveries.
Victory works with many major liftgate manufacturers on the market, and can install the make/model our customers prefer.
Built Around Our Customer’s Needs
No two businesses operate exactly the same, and no two truck bodies should either.
This custom build for Kenworth of Southern MA highlights how we work with customers to design truck bodies optimized for the way they work. At Victory, we build specialized solutions designed to help your business keep moving forward.
