Introduction to Victory Truck Body

Hi. My name is Gerry Hazard with Victory Truck Body, and today we're going to take a look at Victory's flagship product, the Dry Freight Van Body. We'll take a walk around and look at some of the standard features on the van body so that you can feel comfortable and confident that you're going to get a body that lasts and is high quality.

Standard Features Overview

Here at Victory Truck Body, we've taken items that other companies consider premium options; we've made them our standard. These include things like our stainless-steel rear frame, aluminum cast corner caps, composite panel sidewalls, and composite rear doors. For the first thing, let's look at our stainless-steel rear frame.

Stainless Rear Frame

So as you can see, having a stainless-steel rear frame looks really nice, but that's not the only added benefit.

This type of material really holds up against adverse weather conditions, therefore prevents corrosion over time. The great part about our stainless-steel rear frame is it's not just on the posts and the header, but it goes all the way around to the sill and the floor cap. And furthermore, to really increase durability, standard are our corner gussets. These corner gussets are beefier than a normal corner gussets that you would see from other body vendors.

These hug this corner posts and rear header to make sure that over time there's no separation and prevent further corrosion.

Durability of Composite Materials

Another standard feature of our dry freight van body is composite overhead roll doors. The great thing about composite material is that it holds up over time and can hold up against the most abusive of applications. Gone are the day of the wood core doors that delaminate and fall apart. You can be confident that with these composite doors, they'll last the entire lifetime of the body. Now, if an overhead roll-up door is not an option for your application, we also offer a dual panel swing door that is composite as well.

Liftgate and Ramp Options

Oh, and if you do need a liftgate, we're able to install a liftgate while upfitting the truck with our body. Now this particular customer has a Dhollandia gate; however, we work with all the major liftgate manufacturers in the country. If you don't need a gate and you need a ramp, we can do that for you as well. However, if your operation needs both, we can do a ramp liftgate combo too.

Sidewall Design and Benefits

As we make our way to the front of the body, you're going to notice this beautiful, sleek sidewall. And these sidewalls, just like the rear door, are made of composite panels. And again, the great part about composite panels is they hold up against really abusive applications, but in this case, also exterior damage. Another great benefit of this sidewall panel is that it offers a good billboard for your decal logos or full wraps because there's a lot less rivets.

And also, as a sneak peek, when we go inside the body later, you're going to notice there's a great option to give you more inside usable width when loading the body.

Cast Aluminum Corner Caps

Another feature I want to tell you about is our aluminum cast corner caps, and this is really going to be focused on the design. So, it is a low-profile design that offers recessed, marker lighting, and it is also made of aluminum cast that'll hold up against corrosion and minor impact damage. Not only that, but we designed it to be easily replaceable if you need to.

Interior Features and Scuff Design

So now we're going to take a look inside the Victory Dry Freight Body. The first standard feature I want to point out is our scuff. Our standard scuff is galvanized twelve and a half inches high on the wall. This particular customer wanted sixteen inches high, but you can make any height you'd like.

The big standout feature of our galvanized steel scuff is the bump out. You'll notice there's a bump out from the bottom to the top. This keeps your product away from those stainless-steel rivets that attach the scuff to the wall so that it prevents any type of product damage. But the other great part about our stell scuff is the L-shaped design. That L-shaped design further reinforces the wall to the bottom of the body by drilling the scuff into the floor of the body.

Wire Management Solutions

Another standard design feature of our dry freight body is the wire management. It's a huge piece of feedback that we receive from our customers over the thirty five years of dealing with truck bodies. We ensure that all of our lighting wiring is tucked away and secured above the roof rail inside the body. Furthermore, wherever the wiring goes through any type of extrusion, we're using rubber grommets. This helps prevent any type of wire chafing and body shortage to the lighting system in the body.

Cargo Securement Options

Now as you can see, we offer options like e track. We can put that on the sidewall for you as well for cargo securement. And since we use composite panel sidewalls, the great part about using E-Track with that is that you can panel mount it directly to the sidewall. Now I talked about this outside a little bit, but this prevents any type of need for vertical posts. So, we eliminate those vertical posts and therefore give you more inside usable width space for loading your product in the ground.

As you can see, we also have hardwood laminated floors, and another thing I get asked about a lot is the roof. This particular customer wanted an aluminum roof. However, we can do a translucent roof if that's what you need.

Final Thoughts on Victory Van Body

So, to sum it up, a Victory van body really is the best drive free body you'll ever operate.
