Victory Core Value: Drive to Succeed

We're taking a deep dive into what our Core Value "Drive to Succeed" means to our company, our customers, and our people.

"Drive to Succeed" is one of the six Core Values at Victory Truck Body, serving as a guiding principle for our daily actions and objectives. Success is something we build every day, not through a single achievement, but through ongoing improvements and the commitment of the people behind our product.

Drive to Succeed is a mindset rooted in ownership, innovation, and follow-through. It means setting and achieving goals that move individuals and the company forward. It means showing up with intention, ready to adapt, improve, and do your best in every task, big or small.

What Drive to Succeed Means at Victory

This value shows up across our business in several ways:

Setting Intentional Goals

Every department, from production and engineering to sales and customer support, sets measurable goals aligned with our broader company objectives. Whether it’s reducing build times, improving product fit-and-finish, or reaching new markets, we connect individual progress to collective achievement. When employees grow their skillsets, productivity rises, quality improves, and customers feel the impact.

Taking Ownership

A culture of accountability drives better outcomes. Team members are empowered to take responsibility for their projects, communicate early when obstacles arise, and follow tasks through to completion. Ownership builds trust across teams and ensures that no challenge gets passed along without resolution.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Success isn’t static. We encourage innovation on the shopfloor, in design meetings, and in customer conversations. We refine weld patterns to improve durability, test new software tools that enhance workflow accuracy, and iterate consistently across all departments. Progress comes from trying new ideas.

Investing Our Best Effort

We define “effort” as working smart and caring about the outcome. Precision in fabrication, attention to detail in assembly, thoughtful communication in sales, and thorough follow-up in service all contribute to a product we’re proud to put our name on.

How This Value Shapes Victory’s Operations

Here are a few tangible ways Drive to Succeed shows up across our business:

  • Cross-training programs that help team members grow new skills and advance their careers.
  • Goal-tracking tools and performance checkpoints that align daily work with long-term success.
  • Lean process initiatives aimed at eliminating waste and streamlining production.
  • Customer-driven product refinements informed by market demands and operator insights.

What Drive to Succeed Means to Our Team

We asked a couple of our teammates what “Drive to Succeed” means to them in their day-to-day work:

“Drive to Succeed means bettering yourself every day. For me, every time I weld something, I give it my best, so each weld I do is better and stronger than the one before. Never stop improving.” - Jake

“Always do your best, and help the people around you do their best too. If you see room for improvement, say something, and help others learn. When we learn, we all do better moving forward.” - Sam

“Drive to Succeed means improving both yourself and others, and setting goals every day. I’m currently training a new team member. We set new learning goals each day and work together on projects, so that one day she can do everything by herself. When we are individually successful, we are all successful.” – Isaac

“For me, Drive to Succeed means leveling up the team I supervise. My success is a direct reflection of their success. I make it a goal to work with every single team member each day to make sure they’re set up to do well.” – Marc

Why Drive to Succeed Matters

When each employee grows, the company grows. When the company grows, our customers reap the benefits through higher-quality products, faster delivery, stronger support, and smarter solutions. Our commitment to this core value ensures we never settle; we always push forward.

Success is shared, earned, and driven by our people.
