Why We Don’t Use Plastic Corner Caps

While out on the road, our sales team visited a few repairshops that manage commercial fleets. We talked with several service managersabout their truck bodies. One of their biggest frustrations is the corner caps. They told us that some of the larger fleets they manage are destroying cornercaps “at a ridiculous pace.”

Many standard dry van bodies on the market use plastic corner caps. We refuse to accept "standard". Our goal is to build a body that lowers the total cost of ownership for our customers. We do this byusing cast aluminum for our corner caps instead of plastic. A stronger cap addsstructural rigidity to the front of the body and is harder to damage if it bumps into a tree branch. Fewer damaged caps mean fewer replacement parts, less labor, and less time off the road.

Corner caps are one of the most visible parts of a truckbody. That’s why we design our cast aluminum corner caps specifically for Victory truck bodies. The result is a sleek, low-profile design that stands outand stays in one piece after years on the road.
